What facilities and care providers are in my plan?

We currently work with Avenue Healthcare. Any one of our customers has access to all 17 Avenue Healthcare facilities throughout Kenya.

Is maternity care or family planning covered?

Yes, but at an additional cost. Ask us about the maternity option from through our chat line.

What benefits are NOT covered?

Please see this link to learn about what is and is not covered. The Antara team coordinates our coverage with NHIF coverage to make sure that the broadest range of conditions is covered.

What if I am not in Nairobi?

Don't worry, we have you covered. You can access any one of our 17 hospitals and clinics throughout the country and if you need hospitalization in a city that doesn't have an Avenue Hospital, then you can be admitted to a partner facility and still be covered.

Is there a waiting period?

You or your loved one is enrolled as soon as payment has been made. There is a 60-day waiting period for any non-emergency admissions, but if there is an emergency, then you are admitted & covered immediately.

Why do I have to pay up front for an entire year?

This is the only way that we can provide such great coverage at the most affordable rate possible.

What happens if I get into an accident or medical emergency?

You are covered.

What if I want to quit the plan?

You can cancel anytime. Offboarding policies are dependent on the coverage you purchase. You can learn more through our chat line.

Does the plan include dental and optical care?

Yes, but at an additional cost. Ask us about this option from through our chat line.

How do I renew?

We will notify you prior to your renewal date, and provide you with renewal options. We will make renewal convenient and easy for you, and ensure there are no gaps in your coverage.

Does the plan cover me if I am traveling internationally?

Yes, but at an additional cost. Ask us about this option from through our chat line.

How do I pay?

Payments are made via M-PESA, bank, or credit card. All online payments are handled securely through Stripe or M-PESA.
